DC25 Review
The DC25 Animal continues with one of Dysons most popular features, the ball and serves as a welcome addition to the Ball catagory. While a normal vacuum rests on four wheels making it easy to go forward and backward but difficult to turn the DC25 moves effortlessly in any direction with just a slight twist of the wrist. Now it is easy to vacuum around furniture and other obstacles that impede a normal vacuum. The DC25 also features the easier to use kickstand for releasing the ball that first appeared on the DC18.
The DC25 Animal includes the popular Mini Turbine Tool which excells at picking up pet hair off furniture and your car. A great accessory for pet owners.
The DC25 serves as an upgrade over the DC15 Ball model by upgrading to the quick release wand, the newer easier to use kickstand, and the new brushbar head as introduced on the DC18.
Besides the ball the DC25 features a motorized brushbar. The motorized brushbar will more aggressively clean your carpeting in comparison to the DC07 and DC14. Additionally there is an on/off button for the brushbar next to the power button which make it easy to transition from carpeting to hard floor surfaces.
Besides these improvements the DC25 still has features common to all Dyson vacuums such as a five year warranty, a clear bin, no loss of suction, lifetime Hepa filter and no hidden costs.
There are some disadvantages to the DC25 that we want to point out. The Bin size is smaller than some of the older models but still should be adequate for regular household use. Additionally the cord is shorter than than some series.
There are two models in the DC25 range. The only difference between the two is that the Dyson DC25 Animal includes the mini turbine tool.
Our recommendation:
The DC25 is an excellent vacuum for all homes and especially if you are looking for the best ball model.
- Downgrade to the Dyson DC14 if you do not want the ball or the motorized brushbar.
- Consider the Dyson DC17 for aggressive carpet cleaning.
