The DC24 Series is the lightest Dyson upright available and is ideal for homes with hard floors and light carpeting. The main advantage of the Dyson DC24 Animal is its light weight, small profile making it easy to carry around or store and comes with the mini turbine tool attachment for cleaning upholstered items.. It also has the ball making it easy to maneuver around your home as you vacuum. However, the DC24 has about half the suction of the normal Dyson upright and it also has the reversible wand which is a little more difficult to use.
Our recommendation: The DC24 is a great vacuum for people that want a lightweight vacuum that do not have thick carpeting or pet hair issues in their home.
Other models you might want to consider:
Dyson DC41 Animal for a bigger ball model for larger homes or homes with thicker carpeting and pet hair.
Dyson DC28 Animal if pet hair is a problem and the vacuum weight is not an issue.
