The DC28 is the best cleaning Dyson Vacuum and it will work well on any floor surface. With the new Airmuscle technology the DC28's clear head and brushbar automatically and precisely adjust to each surface to make sure it is at the ideal height. Other vacuums do not adjust and they will be either to close making it difficult to push the vacuum or they will be to high resulting in suction leaking from the sides. Besides the Airmuschle technology the DC28 Animal includes the flat out tool for cleaning under furniture and the mini turbine tool for above the floor cleaning. Excellent vacuum cleaner. It is easy to use and it really picks the dirt up. I like the way you empty the container. You don't have to worry about cleaning out a filter every time.

Does the ball make it easier to push then a vacuum with a ball( ie: DC25 vs DC28)
The Ball will make it easier to turn. While the DC28 is heavier than the DC25 it sill does not feel heavy when using it when compared to comparable vacuums. The DC28 does have a dead weight of 20 pounds when lifting it.
