Description
The DC17 All Floors has a more aggressive brushbar making it ideal for people with carpeting and pets. However it will work well in all homes as it is easy to turn the brushbar off via the fingertip controls. The DC17 is an older Dyson model and thus lacks some advanced features like the ball for maneuverability and the airmuscle technology for superior carpet cleaning. Like all Dyson vacuums is has constant suction, HEPA filtration and a five year warranty.
Our recommendation: The DC17 is a great entry level vacuum for people with lots of carpeting and pet hair issues.
Other models you might want to consider:
- The DC28 Animal will do a better job on carpeting with the Airmuscle Technology.
- Consider the DC25 Animal or DC25 All Floors for the ball technology.
- The DC24 All Floors is lightweight but it does not do as good of a job on carpeting.
- The DC14 All Floors will be slightly less expensive.
